My very first time in Aberdovey

Created by debbie maddocks 11 years ago
I will always remember my very first time in Aberdovey with Paul who swept me off my feet in the Summer of 87. We stayed at the Panhelig Arms and we were looked after by Mrs Breeze the owner who made us so welcome we used to go back year after year. A very beautiful place that stayed close to both our hearts and now our daughters hearts. I have such lovely memories of when our 2 beautiful daughters were born and without Paul I would not have them now - Although he did neally miss the birth of his first daughter as I was about to push her out in the delivery suite he had a nosebleed and the nurses didnt know who to look after first, this i think was a ploy of his as he could never resist a nurse in uniform, we used to laugh about this constantly when we used to talk about the girls. We made some good friends along our travels too, one couple in particular who are very special to us all is Jane, David Ailsa & Iona, we all met when we went to Minorca and we all got on so well we continued our friendship once home and would visit them up North regularly and they would come and see us to. We had further holidays with them which looking back now were special times we shared as 2 families together. All the memories will stay in my heart until the day I die. Debbie (Darling) xx
